“Hints from the Hotline” – Fiona McMillan NZPF Principals’ Advice and Support Scheme (PASL)

May 5th, 7:40-8:15am

Our latest “PD from home” offering features Fi McMillan. Fi is the legal advisor for the NZPF Principals’ Advice and Support Scheme (PASL), advising principals across New Zealand on matters affecting their employment.

The NZPF Principals’ Advice and Support Scheme (PASL) supports Principals around New Zealand when they need it the most. Join this zoom session to hear more about some of the most common situations PASL encounters such as:

– A staff member has filed a personal grievance against me. What should I do?

– A parent has sent in a complaint about me and the Board has decided to appoint an investigator to carry out the investigation. Can they do that?

– I have been asked to attend an informal meeting but the Board will have its NZSTA representative there. Do I have to go?

– Is it all over when I have to talk to a lawyer?

There will also be opportunity for Q and A. Please note this session is not being recorded.

Thursday 5 May – 7:40-8:15am

Zoom link will be sent to all Principals registered
